Hunting for Glass Floats in the Pacific

Glass floats are remnants from the pre 1950's industrial fishing era. They're colorful, vary in size and nowadays are highly sought after by collectors. I traveled to a remote region in the Marshall Islands to search for ones which had washed ashore and been buried among the vegetation for possibly over a hundred years.

Brown Bear Watching In Alaska

Each summer in Katmai National Park in Alaska, Brown Bears descend to the rivers from the nearby mountains. These predators are attracted to the yearly salmon runs which provide a valuable food source as they prepare for the winter. And hopefully these 900 pound animals don't mind our group observing them from the riverside less than 20 feet away...
